Thankful "Thanksgiving" Thursday

I got this from my awesome friend Rach :) It is the ABC's of what you are thankful for, so here goes:

A - America, despite all the crap that is going on here right now w/ the economy, we still live in the best country & are FREE

B - Bubbles :) I have loved bubbles for as long as I can remember- bubble machines, bubble baths, my kids showing me how they blow bubbles with their gum- it goes on & on..

C - Creed he is a huge help to me & always up for a fun time

D - Dogs - I've got 3 lil' "Shih-t"zu's & yes they can be just that, but they are always loving & cuddly when you need them, they'll stay right by your side

E - Earth - & excercise I love to work out & it has killed me not being able to do a whole lot during this pregnancy, CANT WAIT TO START UP AGAIN!!

F - Family & Friends: I have the BEST in all the world- they put up w/ my craziness haha!

G - Girls Night Out - oh what would we do without this? We have such sweet times & it is nice to have some "girl" time

H - Holidays - times to reflect on what we have & Celebrate what we are!

I - Imagination- love my kids sweet innocence too.

J - Jason, he is my luva forever & what an amazing man he is :)

K - Kisses - I am a lover!!!

L - Life, laughter, Love: I have the greatest people around me that include all of these- me so lucky!

M - Mom (& Dad) My parents are wonderful examples & do so much for me. My mom is so giving & loving, & we are so happy we live so close to her.

N - Nap time - ahhh, when I actually can get on my blog, clean, try & RELAX- haha

O - Oceanside California - we love the Beach baby!

P - Prophets, we are so blessed to have such wonderful prophets from the past & now present!

Q - Quiet time - when we get it around here!

R - Rainbows, after the rain we get beautiful colored rainbows.... now that sounds cheesy.

S - Summer & Sno-Cones

T - Treygen & Tekai, my little "T" dudes have such great personalities & I love them to their very guts!

U - Utah- can you believe I said it? I am happy that we live in such a pretty & safe place & that we don't have too many jacked up laws like other states!

V - Vacations - we look forward to time out for us & our family, especially Beach Days, woohoo!!!

W - Whales, especially Shamu :)

X - E"x"amples: I have some of the most amazing people in my life whom I would love to have some of their qualities & I look up to so much.

Y - the "Y" as in BYU - okay so they sucked it up against the Utes, but we still cheer them on & bleed blue!

Z - Zoo's, I love animals :)

Can't Believe It's Been A Year...

...One year ago today, my most fun & crazy loving Dad passed away in his sleep at my sister's house in Arizona.

I still run this day through my head countless times & have a hard time believing it is true. I continue to keep his funeral program above my phone, so I can see it everyday & know that it is real.

He & my mom were in Arizona helping my sister after a surgery she had to have right before Thanksgiving. My parents were going to be coming home the day after Thanksgiving to be back for the Temple Lighting Ceremony. My dad was the Director over the lights & had put in so much time to this calling.

I remember being at WalMart at 5am for the "Black Friday" sales. I was all ready for Christmas but was getting my parents a digital photo frame & new camera. I was in the checkout line with the other 4 thousand people, when I decided to call Jill last minute to see if this is what I should get them. She answered her phone & didn't sound very good, but I continued to ramble on... until she interrupted me & told me my dad didn't wake up. I was totally confused & kept asking her what she was talking about. Jill was shocked when I had called her, because all of the events had just taken place about 15 minutes before I called. They had just gotten off the phone with the police & were waiting for help. She hadn't contacted any family members yet, so when she saw me on the caller ID- she freaked out wondering why I called, & she didn't want to answer. She didn't know how to tell anyone what had happened, let alone Me (the baby).
She said he was "gone", & I yelled out "what do you mean? -dead?" - Then in hysterics, as the Checker is ringing up my items I just started freaking out & yelling "My Dad is Dead?" I felt as if I was in a tunnel, but so many people around me started coming up & asking what they could do, who they could call, if I needed a ride.........so many kind people.

I handed the checker my purse & he didn't know what to do- Jill told me to get out of the store & sit in my car, she would call someone to come & get me. I finally got to my car & sat there in shock for about 10 minutes & then called a few of my siblings - Jason was asleep at home with the kids so didn't hear his phone. I felt so numb, & yet I kept thinking is this a joke? Some sick sick joke- it can't be real, I just saw my dad & he was fine. My brother & his wife were on there way to get me & I just left- I had to drive......

The next week was a blur for me -- for a long time. I didn't sleep, eat- I don't know how I functioned, it must have been adrenaline until after the funeral. I can't put down details- this was hard enough to get out. I was so sad for my mom & Gpa Virge.

My dad was the most unconditional fun loving, tough & rough around the edges, great example to everyone who knew him.

I miss his: Nuugies (rough head rubs), love bites, his smile, his yelling/cheering as he watched BYU (we've continued that for him) & the Yankees, our family vacations to the beach, his gruff voice- that I got, watching movies (The Pink Panther) & listening to him laugh, his famous "Judas Priest" & Navajo sayings, His singing to Johnny Cash, John Denver, Neil Diamond & many more (classic singing), his dedication to the Church & example he set for me, & soooo many other qualities.........

I was lucky & blessed enough to have him in my life for 30 years. He was there for every dance recital, gymnastics event, sports events, my wedding, family gathering of mine, & there for the birth of each of my 3 boys. I know he had a part in getting my little girl to me & even though I won't see him when she is born, I know she will be coming straight from his arms! I was his baby & now he is helping send my baby to me - This is what I am so looking forward to.

I love you daddy & will be happy for when we meet again :)

Thankful Thursday

Woohoo- look who remembered again!

*These hotty dudes of mine- I just love each of their distinct personalities! They are always up for a great time :)

*Creed helping get the others ready- don't know if you can see how much gel is in all of their hair? They were some greasy pups, but I loved the do's :) He is always sooo helpful & willing. I have to mention my parent-teacher conference today w/ Creed's teacher. She had nothing but Great things to say about my guy! He is a wonderful student, kind & fun to have in her class- WAY TO GO CREEDY!

*Leesa, my wonderful sis-n-law, who made my adorable baby bedding! She is seriously THE BEST- soooo talented :) we love hanging out with the Bick's, my boys adore their whole fam. (you have to click on the pic, to see the cute detail- loove the bedskirt too!)

*My comfy bed- ahhh, it feels good to lay down after a looooong day & crash in my sweet bed! I just wish I could get there sooner each night- haha.

*Gogurts or yogurt- either way, it is easy breakfast when I'm not feeling so hot!

Closer to 4 weeks

I am sooooo ready for this lil' girl to get here, it is driving me crazy- WAITING! Since she looks small, my doctor wants to take her around my original due date- not 2 weeks before, as originally planned!!! Sucks a mean one- but I would like a healthy baby, so I guess I'll manage. 3 1/2 to 4 weeks isn't too bad, I just wanted to be settled at home before Christmas. Well, now we can get our Christmas stuff out, I have to have something to do :)
My boys can hardly wait either. They love feeling my belly & giving her lots of kisses. I am excited to get my Maternity pics back from Kel- they were a riot! *As Always!*

Baby Girl Goods

I had a fun baby night- thanks to all who helped! It was a crazy night for a lot of people, but I loved hanging out & celebrating PINK!!! I love you all. I can't believe this baby GIRL will be here in 4 weeks. Every night I go in her room & look at all the fun clothes, bows, shoes, bracelets & pink fun. I am CrAzY, but I have like 4 outfits, bows, blankets I'm taking to the hospital, because I don't know what to bring her home in yet. This is my one chance, my one girl, so go easy on me :)
My most talented sis-n-law Leesa made my babe's bedding, & it is soooo ADORABLE! I cannot tell her enough how happy it makes me & how I appreciate it more than I can express. She is so awesome & so busy, so I owe her BIG TIME! Love ya Leesa.
Kelsi you are also an amazing friend- thank you for Everything, from the clothes, BOWS, words of encouragement & just making this so special for me.

The last week has been a little bit of a nightmare for me- so, I had to do something to get me excited about having a baby..... I painted, decorated, re-did rooms, did more painting & am starting to feel like this "girl" thing is real. My poor boys haven't felt so great- kucky stomach stuff - then they have to put up with my crazy OCD.

Somedays, I wish I could feel normal, not so hormonal! I had an anxiety attack the other night & just couldn't take any more! I just feel so overwhelmed & feel like I have to do everything, it drives me crazy. Thank heavens I have the bestest hubby around- who jumped in & made everything okay. My sweet friend Kellie stopped by with her daughter Macie, whom I consider my own, I absolutely adore her. They were so great & brought me soo many amazing darling gifts :)- thanks you guys, I love you.

Now it is the weekend, another day, positive energy out there - happy outcoming right?!

*Tekai is sleeping on the bunk beds w/ Treygalish (lower one of course!) I can't believe he is so big. He loves to feel like a big kid. They enjoy sharing a room. Creed is liking having his own room- but occasionally Treygen sleeps on his trundle :) I'll take some pictures of CDog's room too.

*I then painted the green stripe, finished my chandelier - when I bought it, it was gold. I painted it, bought shades, added ribbon, some glitter, rhinestones- re-painted (didn't love the pink I painted below the shades) & it is almost ready...

*These are some of the Fabulous presents Macie & Kellie brought me :)

*I painted the rest of the wall pink, added ric rac (which was a nightmare to put on), painted the crib, Jason hung the canopy & now I am excited to get my bedding Jason's sister is making for me :) The material is oh-so-great. I have a few more things to add to the wall, will show you pics when it is ready....

*painted the changing table- it used to be a light tan. I wasn't as happy with how I finished this one, but NO BIG WOOP! I am trying to release & let it go... be with God! (for those of you who went to the "Time Out For Women") I also painted the little rocking chair- it was a maroon color, I think I'll add brown to it also. I added cute green flowers to the top of the light- you'll have to click on the picture to see them.

*I had to put this bedding on there, until I get mine- it just makes it that much more real :) hehe
There you have it, so far.............. now, I'm going to bed it is only 3:30am - I have been cleaning bathrooms & house, okay, then I watched a few shows on nbc.com :) had to put my mind somewhere besides toilets!

I opened up my fourth folder under pictures & this is the 4th picture in it. It is one of Tekai's one year old pics. He looks bald- his hair was actually quite orange red! He loooovvves balls- what boy doesn't? These were fun ones of my sweetest littlest. Can't believe he will be "2" in like 3 1/2 months.

I love my little Kai Guy, he is so much fun tagging along wherever I go. Although, today he hasn't felt well. Treygen came into my room this morning & told me there was throw up all over his room. He said Tekai was laying on the floor. I jump up & run in there...... let's just say I WISH it was throw up!! It was really Diarhea! :( leaked out of his diaper...3 puddles of it- Kucky you think?, you didn't have to clean it up- or smell it the rest of the day!! I scrubbed, cleaned, deoderized, aired out the room, & still I can smell it. Luckily no one else can.... pregnancy does wonders on your senses. My poor little guy, I put him in the tub & he even went in there!! I have done quite the cleaning today. He had a bad diaper about every few hours, so that is why I can probably still smell the putred (sp?) odor. He seems to be a little better tonight- let's hope he doesn't leak on his freshly washed bedding- fingers crossed. I did put a towel under him, is that so wrong?!

So, there you have it.... my "Tag" went on to another whole story- sooo unlike me right?!

I had to mention our sweet weekend we had with the girls! My sister Jill came up from AZ & joined me & some friends at the "1st Annual Digi Scrap night" :) We had a Blast- as always! Got a little crazy- probably freaked out the instuctor- but Judas, we're Brown's, get used to it!!!
