Thankful Thursday
1-- My awesome Husband! He takes on the world & still can take me on after a loong day-haha :) He took the boys for the weekend while I was in Vegas, & they had the time of their lives- no complaints. He is honest in everything he does & doesn't compromise his virtues. What an amazing guy I have. Me so lucky :) Love you Luva XoxoXOXO
2-- For the fact that we still have a few SANE political leaders out there: You go John McCain!!! What a great selfless guy to "hold" on his campaign to help our country & actually do his job. He doesn't care about himself- he is worried about what is going on with our economy. Barack you keep hanging those signs, looking purty & kick back looking like a "not nice word" while all the other leaders do their job to get our country back in gear, more power to ya. Oh, & the new President won't be officially sworn in & take over duties until January- not 40 days- just a side note for you Obama :)

3-- FREEDOM OF SPEECH :) (refer to #2) hahahaa
4-- Wicked Awesome Friends :) who can laugh together, cry together, be wild & CraZy together & just be ourselves together- love you guys!

Awesome Weekend
I went to Vegas with some fun girls this last weekend for the "Time Out For Women" Conference- & it was FABULOUS!! I have to admit I had a crazy week & was soooooo looking forward to going :)..........but, I missed my kids 2 hours into the trip!! They called me & sent me text messages, so I got by though. We had a great time hanging out with the girls, shopping, good eating (even though I couldn't taste anything- I had a sinus head junk going on!), laughing, crying, dancing (no clubs) just us messin' around, lots of bathroom breaks- especially for us prego girls, & having a sweet ol' time with the girls!

Always Remember
I woke up to my friend Cindy, who is a D.J. on the radio, freaking out on the air. She said something like they thought a terrorist flew a small plane into the World Trade Center. I was half asleep listening to her & realized something big was going on. I jumped out of bed & called my bro Joel, who lived just a block away at the time. We had just moved into our new house & didn't have our cable hooked up yet. I told him to turn on his t.v. He didn't know anything was going on, & then I hear him just keep saying, "oh my gosh, I don't believe this" over & over. I hung up & rushed to his house just in time to see the 2nd plane hit the tower! We looked at each other in complete shock & started freaking out a little. The news anchors had just gotten word that there was, what they thought, a bomb that went off at the Pentagon. As the reporters were talking, we sat in disbelief wondering what was happening to our country! I kept thinking there was going to be all these planes just crashing into St. George, & all over the rest of the country.
I was already late for Massage School & didn't feel like going at this point. I was still trying to comprehend what was happening.
I had worked for SkyWest Airlines & called to see what they thought was going on. It was chaos-- grounding flights, getting hotels for people, trying to help people get home to their loved ones! A friend of mine who worked in dispatch, said it was crazy to see the blank screen of the USA- where normally they'd see hundreds of planes in the air on it.
I couldn't keep my eyes off of the T.V. for days! I couldn't imagine the emotions of the people who were 1st hand witnesses to this wretched crime! I was working at Red Mountain Spa at the time & most of our guests were from New York. It was amazing at how overnight something like this could change the friendliness of people. It was good to see that everywhere you'd go, people were a little nicer, would smile, say "hello" & treat each other like family. Our nation truly pulled together - flags were flown, moments of silence were held, blood was given, & people showed so much respect for America.
I love that I saw flags flying around the neighborhoods today (wish there were more, but it's a start!) I'm so grateful for our freedoms & rights to choose what we believe.
I listened to so many patriotic songs with my kids & the ones written right after 9/11 too. I had dropped Creed off at school, & Treygen & I were singing the "Courtesy of the Red White & Blue" Toby Keith song. My boys love to blast that one! After, I turned it to "Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning"- Alan Jackson. Treygen said the cutest thing: "Mom, did you hear what day jus said? - He said hold hans wit a stranga!" He was pretty concerned. I turned my choked up, tear jerker of a face, into a smile & explained to him it was okay- because they were at a church with their families.
It is so sweet & funny what kids pick up on. We have realized we really have to watch what we listen to nowadays!
The other day Creed came in singing "I tried drinking- but it didn't do" (some country song he's heard w/ Jason about getting over a girl) I was shocked & told him it wasn't what he thought it was, it was talking about drinking alcohol, & we probably shouldn't sing that anymore. :) Too Funny, my 5 1/2 year old singing about getting liquored up--WHAT?!?!? I do love that my boys like to sing & be wild (sometimes) like their mom -hehehe!
So, back to my original thought: I am proud to be an American & to know that we can sing, dance, & be just plain crazy because we are FREE!! Thanks to all of those brave people serving our country & those lost from their own heroism. God Bless the USA...........we will never Forget!

Soccer 08 Begins
*Soccer starts & ends for Treygen :( He is on a league older than him & it was pretty cRaZy!!! he had a great time until the "dogpile tackle" which he ended up on bottom! We were proud he played his little heart out. He will do gymnastics for now & we'll try this again next year- with kids his age :)
*Creed is playing again, & this year we got all his friends in our neighborhood on his team- which Jason is coaching! The Leopards started out the season winning 8-2 :) They had a fun game & have a lot of energy!

First Day of Preschool
Treygen started pre-school Wednesday & was thrilled to go! He kept telling me on the way over that he was going to walk up all by himself. I pulled up to Miss Bonnie's & he jumps out, looks at me & says "Mom, I told you I am going up by myself" I was a little saddened, but realized what a Big boy he is becoming. I kept my distance & took a few pictures of him walking up. He turned around & gave me "ILoveU" fingers & I just about cried! As I drove away, I realized it was just me & Kai guy. If I hadn't planned to meet Leesa at the store, I probably would've lost it. It's just the hormones, you know. I was checking my watch every 15 minutes until it was time to get him & Creed.
Treyg's had such a great time & loves Miss Bonnie. He said he never doesn't want to go to pre-school.- hahha.
Treyg really didn't want me to take pics of his 1st day of pre-school, but finally gave in because he could sit on his dad's drink cooler!
Treygen & his buddy Bridger ready for school! They are exactly a year apart = almost to the day!
After School- he had some cool stuff he made. School Bus goggles, & a fun Name necklace w/ Fruit Loops on it.... mmmmmm....
Miss Bonnie & Her new Fav Student: Treygen :)
He was so worn out after school. I was on the phone for a few minutes & couldn't find him. I asked Creed if he was upstairs playing with him. He said he just saw him laying on his bed sleeping :) Crashed!! I am so proud of my Treygalicious! You have started a new chapter little dude, & I'm not sure I'm ready. I love him.

Thankful Thursday
*Hey look I actually remembered Thankful Thursday!!!
*I am so glad for Fall to be here-- around the corner! I already started decorating last week. This year I am so happy, it can't come soon enough. I love summer, but whooooo it was killing me. Now, I am that much closer to this little babe being here. YEA!!!
*I am thankful for Friends & our Fun Girls Nights! It is so good to just hang out, laugh, reminisce(sp?) make fun stuff & talk til' all hours of the night!
I am thankful for Digital Scrapbooking!! I don't even need to explain this one- LOOOOVE this stuff & can't wait to get better-hahhhahaa :)
*I am thankful for Pull-ups! Whoever thought this idea through, deserves a freakin' award. :) It is nice to have these at night, when you have sound lil' sleepers that don't always wake up to go potty. Now, we don't have to wash bedding more than once a week - Sweet! My friends & I had an awesome conversation about this last night, we all agree they are the BEST!
*Last but not Least: My Fam :) We have so much fun together- my kids are all personality! They help out so much & have been so patient with me not feeling so hot for the last several months. I love that they sign "I love you" to me & give me lots of kisses daily. Jason is so great with them & has relieved me several times during the days when I have been kucky. I am so lucky to have them.

Labor Day
We went to Sand Hollow Reservoir for Labor Day with Jason's sister Leesa. It was really nice & relaxing to just hang out & play with the waverunners. Creed always freaks out if you go too fast, & if you don't let him drive- then after a few minutes- we can't get him to hop off! Treygen, on the other hand, smiles from ear to ear the entire ride & loves speed. Tekai was a bit hesitant at first with the wind in his face, but then realized it was like the 4-wheeler, only on water. :) I was a little worried about the "itch" kucky stuff out there, but made sure we hosed off good after & showered thoroughly also. We have been fine. Gosh, lake days are just so great- we can't wait to take our boat out to Powell next summer. We also Loved having Jason home the whole weekend! Woohoo- yea for LAboR DaY!!
*Tekai guy running all over the show! (as always)
Creed & Treygen loving Sand Hollow- splashing, swimming, & making sand (muddy) castles
*Creed would not get off the waverunner- he did a great job driving.... 10-13mph
*My Muscle Man :)
*Treygen is our "No Fear" dude - he loves to go fast & do fun 360's -NO he didn't go by himself! I snapped the picture before I hopped on with him.
*Da Boys hangin' out drinkin' lemonade & eating chips (Tekai pointing at the Helicopter--same one we flew on!)
*Tekai enjoyed the ride too
*Curtis Fam enjoying a day at the lake - we had Jason home all day, it was nice!
*I love this pic of Treyg's - it looks like he's running from a shark behind him- it was really just some crazy kid flopping around like a fish! That kid would pop out of nowhere :)
