Maryland Mishaps

Ok- so the day we got here, we drove around the area where we'd be living. I was pointing out all the different shopping & businesses around. I noticed the Urgent Care & joked about how atleast we know where that is! Little did I know we'd become REGULARS there! The very next day we were swimming at our fun pool, when Treyg decided to try a mean trick off the steps & throw himself into the bar that you hold to get into the pool. His top 2 teeth went through his bottom lip...all the way through! Yeah, it wasn't the funnest part of our pool day! I couldn't tell it had gone clear through until the next day. We decided to take him to Urgent Care, just to play it safe & to spend a couple hundred bucks just for them to tell us "It's Fine," just looks awful. They did give us an antibiotic in case of infection, or to make me feel better about the cashola I had just thrown their way. Treygs lip healed fairly quickly & nicely.

A few days later another little boy out here got a concussion from playing at a play place & getting run into. They contacted us to find the doctor's office. One week after that, little 11 month old Khloe (another friend) tripped & cut open her eye & had to have 2 stitches.

Again we were contacted for directions to the infamous Urgent Care. We were all hanging out roasting marshmallows & making s'mores one night & talking about how we hoped the craziness of accidents was over.

Sure enough one week later my lil Creed dude 'took one for the team' on the escalator & "cheese grated" his leg (shin) open! He hobbled off the escalator & I looked down to see a gorry, bloody mess. Trying to keep my cool, I ran into Pottery Barn & asked for some bandaids.

We got him cleaned up, but we still had to walk home. We live just down the street from the mall, so we walked. Bad day for walking I guess. We loaded up in the car & headed for YEP you guessed it URGENT CARE. Creed was a little nervous about needles & stitches, but hung in there like a real champ. I actually watched the 4 shots & 4 stitches the doc did. Surprisingly enough I held it together & didn't black out! We headed to the store to get him some medicine, & a Wicked Awesome Truck :) & he was good as new!

We now have just under 2 months left & we are praying we will not step through the Urgent Care's doors again :) *Oh, & I just got my mail: guess who sent me a $100 check? Urgent Care-- I'm not sure if it's an incentive for sending so many people their way, or if they just feel bad for all the money I've given them -haha SCORE!

Maryland or Bust

We made the CRAZY 36 hour drive out here!!! (& in 3 days!) Thank heavens we had the Yuke & plenty of room, for the kiddos to go LuPoRs :) We had a few moments when I thought I was going to lose it (ok maybe I did for a sec!) but overall we survived & got to Maryland to Jason - Woohoo! We saw some cool sights: pretty Colorado Mtns, long flat plains of Kansas, rivers in Missouri & the St. Louis Arch, lots of green trees in Indiana & Illinois & funny town: Effingham, Illinois (haha), the BIG city buildings of Columbus Ohio, crazy backwards town of West Virginia, cool hills & fog, & getting a little lost in Pennsylvania & the Joys of seeing the Maryland State sign! It is gorgeous green out here & so far we've had a great time. I will post picts later. Thanks for all the Well Wishes, Loves to you all ....

I have felt like a CRAZY Single WoMaN all week long..... Sold my car, Deep cleaned the house for company, did some massages, helped at school, made some Capri Sun bags-(which always make me LUPORS,) Did countless craft projects, ran to like 10 stores trying to find white sandals for me & Cayz(finally found some at TJMax,) shopped for wedding & birthday gifts, ran to & from Baseball Tues, & Wed. with 4 kids (tons o' fun,) ran to Instacare for Creed(Strep Throat:( ) Bike rides, Dog Walks, Organizing & switching my kids rooms(going through clothes/socks,) getting rid of stuff(while the kids slept-cuz that is the only way to go!) Dinner w/ Adults-my siblings, nephew Jordan's Wedding,Luncheon & Reception in Enterprise, Running my kids All over The Show, & now it is Sunday.....

All I want to do is VEG!! --- YEAH RIGHT, like that's gonna happen!!

The Yuke

We loved our Rendezvous, but are soo happy with the YUKON, & all its space!! I enjoy every feature it has & the kids do too..... the GINORMOUS TV mainly-haha! We are looking forward to our FUN Adventure back East in The "Yuke"
Happy Trails until we are "Home again, Home again, Jiggity Jog" -as my sweet dad would say.

SOLD

I can hardly believe I sold my car (in 2 days)that we loved so much! It is a little bitter sweet...we just needed more room (cargo mainly) This has been a great car. I brought Treygen, Tekai & Cayzli home from the hospital in this, when they were born. It has been to Arizona, New Mexico, California & Texas with us. My kids & I have rocked out to some sweet tunes in here, watched the stars from the moon roof & we will always have fond memories of our cute Shamu SUV :) Here's to you-- take care of your new owners for us!

Summer Move

Well it looks like we are headed back East for the Summer! Jason has work in Maryland & leaves next week. We will meet him out there when school gets out. It is going to be a looong, but FUN road trip across the USA :) Woohoo- I've always wanted to do something adventurous like this! Now is our chance to go WiLd-haha. We think it will be great to show our kids so many historical sights & learn more about our great country.

Distances from where we will be:

Baltimore - 20 minutes

Washington D.C. - 1 hr 15 min.

Philadelphia - 1 hr 30 min.

New York :)BIG GRIN - 3 hours

New Jersey - 2 hr 30 min.

So, if anyone wants to come play with us this summer- you'd have a place to stay with us. Now just sing with me the "Griswald Vacation" song "Holiday Roooolll, Holiday Rooooooolll" -too bad we don't have a "family truckster"-aka: station wagon or, better yet Cousin Eddie's motorhome!

**Jason is selling his Toyota Tundra too - :( He won't need it in MD. It is his FAV & if you don't want it after 4 months, he'd buy it back!!-That is how much he looves it! Anyone interested let us know...

Shape-shifter Dude

While at the park today, Treyg & buddy Kasen were playing & Kasen says to him,

"We are shape-shifters, I am a T-Rex, what animal are you?"

Treyg: "I'm a Rock-Man"

Me: "A Rocket man, that's cool!"

Treyg: "No, a ROCKMAN, someone who can pick up rocks!"

Crazy Kai Guy

What do you get when you mix together: milk, coffee creamer(I use it for frosting), Sour Cream, Chocolate Frosting... & Tekai??? .... Chocolate Milk!!! Yep, new recipe apparently I wasn't aware of it, nor did I realize what was going on while I was folding clothes in the other room :) That's safe right?

This little dude has been getting into way too many things lately!! He is very honest though, so it is hard to get upset. He is a funny character.
